Daintree Rainforest Observatory

The Daintree Rainforest Observatory (DRO) is located 120 km north of Cairns on Cape Tribulation. The site hosts part of the Daintree Rainforest SuperSite for the Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network .The DRO is comprised of long-term monitoring sites, a canopy crane and extensive researcher and teaching infrastructure. The DRO is situated adjacent to the World Heritage listed Daintree National Park, and home to many endemic tropical plant and animal species.
